Like maybe he did but in that case he should just fuck off and write blogs instead of being a leadership guy with access to vulnerable women facing job precariousness in games journalism

Here’s where Will once again gets out over his skis. Medical bankruptcy, beef prices, climate change, and economic precariousness are all real issues that real people are both experiencing and making plain bad they are concerned about them. These are all very serious issues!
The way you show you’re an enlightened person in the US is to go on and on about medical bankruptcies and beef prices and climate collapse and gas prices and precarity and data centers and how no one will ever own a home. Everything is terrible and getting worse, it’s the one thing we all agree on.

This is a weird chimera of Coates's historical research and a Marxist critique he probably disagrees with. Jim Crow wasn't just "inefficient" capitalism; it was state-sanctioned racial plunder. We shouldn't conflate modern economic precariousness with a violent racial caste system.

Paying them millions, because they are chosen, or condemning them to precariousness for the same reason, “Talent” is taking away the underlying process that defines the quality of a production: the work. Resuming a process to mere luck.

The precariousness of my situation is real heavy today.
I’m afraid to be hopeful. Afraid to bet on myself. Worried I won’t ever see the breakthrough. That it’s only gonna be breakdowns from here on out.

Things are fine for me now but conditions are such that there is reason to feel precariousness about everything.

think the ambiguousness and precariousness of the relationship is making it more sexy, esp for her, she tries really hard and is always in to it a lot, feel like i cracked some type of secret

although also it's only possible bc i'm exactly enough in to her not to go loopy & become unstable

Informality leads to precariousness jobs. After several incidents with those workers and one company (iFood) has changed its policy bringing a more humane relationship with delivery people, but I’m afraid they do not have work contract like in Spain.

'En vela' is a comic in which Ana Penyas portrays, through different people who spend their nights awake, how insomnia has become a social symptom of the anxiety, precariousness, and general malaise of contemporary life. It can be read for free on eBiblio Andalucía

The only thing you do, is increase the precariousness.

Me thinks you have completely underestimated the economic precariousness of the American people. You just described $200 of subscriptions, none of which more than 25% of folks even have.

*laughs & laughs in anthropologist*

that said, I too am astonished and horrified so it's like how I know in exhausting detail the history & nature of certain museum exhibits or holidays & yet still have feelings because of them.

Also I dislike intensification of my financial precariousness.
Everything I was taught about markets was a lie.

Wow. That would get a second reply from me icily advising him to consider the precariousness of his electoral position before replying in such a patronising manner to potential voters.

This ridiculous number of applications is, in my view, the result of 2 nightmare developments happening concurrently 1.the precariousness of the job market for young PhD graduates which then fuels further: 2.the AI tools enabling overproduction of proposals. #Research #ERC #ResearchFunding #Academia

Honestly, this definition holds up really well. It's a story. It's vibes. It doesn't have to hold together. Fear, grievance, anger targeted at "others". Built on top of economic precariousness....

Life is defined at least in part by death and suffering. Shared precariousness is a source of human empathy which is why history is littered with campaigns to understand groups as subhuman and incapable of feeling pain so we can do things like war and slavery.

it probably wouldnt be very hard for the same people to make arguments based on the precariousness of no income in the US, shared experiences, dignity and independence, etc and its worth asking why these people instead use GAC almost entirely as a negatively framed hypocrisy-own

Can I interject just to say that most academics I know that also work for a RG university don’t want this? Leadership are hungry for charging more, whilst most of us are worried about precariousness etc etc

#MissKittyPolitics @repstansbury.bsky.social said housing is #human #right. She is very front of the line in #MissKitty's mind. Coming in right after her is @ginafortexas.bsky.social for her #PINKS support in the most difficult state of #Texas. She also understands the precariousness of the moment.
