Wow. The etymology of "T-" as a given-name prefix. This is wonderful, and I had no idea.
In Louisiana, it is common for children to be prefixed with T-/short for Petit. Or anglicized as Little. Father's nickname: TomCat, son Little TomCat. Quarterback Bobby Hebert's son is T-Bob Hebert. My Grandmother was known as T-Moon, but that was because her face was round like a little moon.
