UnitedHealth already sells your insurance, employs your doctor, and manages your prescriptions.

Now Trump's DOJ let them buy home health and hospice giant Amedisys for $3.3 BILLION – giving them MORE power to raise costs and deny care.

We need to break up Big Medicine.

I feel like UHC owes me a few hundred thousand in care denied by AI.

The AI keeps taking my insulin off my prescriptions because it's "unauthorized hormone therapy"

This trash is literally killing us. AI in healthcare is fucking criminal
Vivian did not disclose she was an AI agent. Called me and said “we have your insurance as Blue Cross?” I said that’s wrong. She then asked for my insurance info. I said it’s already in your system, I was just at your facility. She said “oh I can’t access that, let me transfer you to the front desk”
Called place where I’m getting ultrasound today:

“Uh..I just got a call from one of your employees saying I need a different test and she had my address and insurance provider wrong and didn’t know if any of this is covered?”

Receptionist: “oh yeah that’s our AI agent Vivian. She gets confused!”

Abortion reporter here: Folks should know that state ballot measures can protect/expand abortion access, but any federal restrictions supersede them—like, say, a captured FDA ending telehealth prescriptions for medication abortion after the midterm elections

I’m alive. I nearly wasn’t. But the NHS saved my life and it didn’t cost me a penny

Ok that’s not strictly true. I don’t get free Prescriptions outside of hospital (many do). So I prepay for medication

£114.50 a year. For all prescriptions I need. Not each. ALL of it

I’d be bankrupt in the USA

Maybe discouraging the house flippers coming for the free prescriptions, then voting Tory.

taxpayer-funded money? like ALL prescriptions that the drug companies get to keep the patents and then charge us exorbitant amounts and then change the formula slightly right before the patent ends?
November 3, 2026 at 10:08 PM

The other day, the pharmacist asked the routine question here in NHS-land: "Do you pay for your prescriptions?" I said I did. She looked at her screeen, checked my birth date, & said: "Not any more." I'm so old I get NHS prescriptions for free.

I really wanted to shout: "Give me ALL of the drugs!"

🇨🇦💊 A pharmacist who moved from Nigeria thought Canada's universal health care meant affordable medicine for everyone. In a CBC essay, Atai Okokon describes patients unable to pay for prescriptions, including a mother struggling to buy her child's inhaler. Should universal care include medications?

If the blue wave comes, it merely buys us the shovel, we still have to dig our way out. We will still have families to feed, corporate greed to rein in, prescriptions to make affordable, and a damaged democracy to rebuild from the ground up.

Another lie...

My 2027 prescriptions increased from $1.60 generic to $6.80 generic.

If you can't afford subscriptions, you don't deserve news, any information or entertainment. If you can't afford your prescriptions, too bad. You can't afford food, starve. The food has been poisoned anyway, which is why you need the prescriptions. The government is not working for the people.

Does your insurance cover telehealth? That’s how I normally get my prescriptions for sinus infections.
