The incident which sparked it happened in the Champions League where Gianluca Prestianni 🇦🇷 of Benfica covered his mouth to say at Vinicius Jr 🇧🇷 of Real Madrid, which Vinicius alleged was racism but Prestianni later admitted was homophobic instead. He is suspended for Argentina's first two matches.

Prestianni va demander des excuses publiques et une compensation financière à Vinicius après avoir déclaré qu'il n'avait pas proféré d'insulte raciste à son encontre mais une insulte homophobe.
