#Primaries
Some wondered whether DSA candidates who lost primaries would be team players in the general. Turns out it was the establishment candidates who lost in several places who weren’t.

"stop making me care about other people's primaries" thought vindicated again

None of these transphobic Democrats showed their transphobic asses until after the primaries, so you can stick that "you should push for better candidates in the primaries" shit straight back up your asses.

Stevens wasn't this bad during the primaries, right? this seems like a whole new level of breakdown.

Dem primaries in NY in 2028 & 2030 are critical. Party leadership mistakes are consistently driven by NY senators and they need to go.

Massachusetts voters rejected Question 3 on this year's ballot, which would have ushered in a new state primary election system.
Question 3: Mass. voters opt to keep partisan state primaries
Supporters of the ballot question had urged voters to back a swap to what are called "all-party" primaries or "top-two" primaries as a solution to Massachusetts' dearth of competitive elections. Opponents, meanwhile, had countered that all-party primaries would hurt independent candidates.

the stuff Haley Stevens is doing right now is basically all the shit that people like Haley Stevens hallucinated the Sanders campaign did after the primaries were over in 2016 and 2020

If anyone primaries her I swear to god

na man, the left gets to take its shots here, this is why everyone should support progressives in primaries, they're way less likely to turn traitor like this
Every person in the party from Schumer to Pelosi to obama to me a random voter in Arizona has said fuck this lady.

This behavior is as bad and fucking loser ass as Stevens. Put on your big boy pants or go home Jason.
When progressives lose, we're told to unify. When establishment Dems lose, they show up with the Republican. Haley Stevens could've learned a thing or two from Francesca Hong. Progressives get thrown under the bus every cycle. Then the party wonders where the trust went.

I honestly think this will help El-Sayed. He's number two in fundraising today, and Michiganders can rest easy knowing they chose the right candidate in the primaries.

And the Hitler one keeps winning primaries and losing in the generals
November 3, 2026 at 6:19 PM
In the end, if you're a serious member of a large brokerage coalition you have to respect the results of primaries. Nothing else works
the whole Haley Stevens saga is a good lesson for both moderates and leftists: throwing a tantrum and “witholding your vote” by refusing to support democrats just makes everyone mad at you and diminishes your influence
this is ridiculous wrecker shit from stevens, at least crockett is mostly just staying quiet in texas

it’s also going to look completely embarrassing when he wins easily next week and I hope her political career is over

The DOJ has deployed about 1,000 election monitors for this year’s midterms. Wyoming’s Republican governor has already described some monitors’ behavior during the primaries as “aggressive” and “irregular.”

We won INSPITE of Schumer and Jeffries. They backed different candidates in the primaries-- who lost-- and never adequately backed those that ran and won last night.

This Jewish Michigander has voted for AES twice (primaries, against Stevens, and again in the general).

She's not behaving any more bizarrely than she was during the primaries IMO

And obviously that 2008 cycle was a presidential race with open primaries in both parties and then incredibly high stakes in the general. There was ample opportunity and reason for the superrich to spend money there.

And it's nothing by comparison to now. This is insane.
The 20 biggest donors this cycle have spent $2 BILLION on the midterms, the overwhelming majority of which has gone to help Republicans.

In the entire 2008 cycle, the last before Citizens United, total billionaire spending was $16 million.

We must get Big Money out of politics.
