The one I've really debated and still may do, is some YouTube stuff comparing golf balls. Just how close is Ball X to a ProV1, or is a Maxfli really that good. That type of stuff.

You don’t need to pay the ProV1 costs either. You can get ZStar or Vice Pro for like 30-35 a dozen if you pay attention.

My take on this as a scratch is that everyone can benefit from a better ball but there are options that are high performing and aren’t $5 a ball. I’d say play ProV1 or TP5 or whatever when you become far more likely to take a ball out of play for a scuff than lose it

I think maybe my bit/niche if I ever do decide to make the jump into YouTube golf, would be reviewing and comparing golf balls. Nobody reviews balls, or nobody compares, "Hey here's this ball compared to the ProV1," so why not me? It's relatively cheap, I have a launch monitor. Let's do this.

I would play them if I didn't keep getting gifted balls! Every birthday/Christmas, I get gifted ProV1s from inlaws, and then my dad's company gets Srixon Z-Star logo balls, which is also pretty close to the ProV1, so I alternate between those two. But if those stop coming in, I'd try Maxfli.

It's a solid ball. When I did a fitting this past winter, it was the runner-up of all the ones I tested. With wedges it was getting CRAZY spin even on knock-downs. Just wasn't QUITE there with the ProV1 off the tee or with irons when I would (frequently) mishit one.

I've heard nothing but great things! And at $30/dozen if you buy 4, it's a crazy deal for balls that testing websites have said go toe-to-toe with ProV1 or whatever other big ball. And heck, a lot of times they have other deals/coupons you can stack to get it down to like $100 for 4 dozen.
