I run my work through Grammarly and ProWriter. Then, I send it to my professional editor. You could also book swap with another author, or have some good beta readers go through your manuscript.

My publisher dropped me earlier this year. Prowriter had a challenge for 50k words for November. I started writing a new book out of my genre. Editing now to distribute 2nd week of December. Little surreal.

You can also use Prowriter Aid and it will find typos, correct punctuation etc. I find different typos when I read silently than aloud - also on paper and on screen.

LOL. Seriously. I ran my manuscript through grammarly and prowriter, plus a professional editor and hot damn if I didn't find a couple missed bloopers in the published piece.

While I typically advocate for #PlainLanguage, I do LOVE this word + will use it someday! In the meantime, I'll write dog lover.

I read my book for what felt like the three hundredth time, ran it through ProWriter and Grammarly, had it professionally edited... then I read it on my Kindle and found three mistakes. Luckily caught them before the formatter did her thing, but still... how???

Writer people: how do you feel about ProWriter? I hate Scrivener (too complicated, unintuitive). Any other software you'd recommend? I'm thinking for editing/revision purposes.

Do I know anyone who has tried ProWriter? I'm looking for a better fiction oriented grammer checker than Grammerly which seems to not understand character voice-like at all, no matter how much I tweak it.
