I genuinely do hate the r/programminglanguages mods

Some of the most annoying and pedantic twits in existence.

Not a single one of my blog posts in the past two years has passed their watchful gaze

If you know who they are, tell them to go fuck themselves.

Agora que vi que eu falei desse post no meu cafezinho de hoje.

Gravei na quinta e não lembrava. Vão me crucificar

First blog post in a long long time~ some brief musings on my experiences learning Clojure coming from OCaml!!

I know I have a few OCaml/Clojure-ers following me, so I'd love to hear your opinions on this!!

is it just me or has r/ProgrammingLanguages gotten significantly worse?
it's always been a lot of "what if we used +-* instead of =" and i haven't been actually active on there in years but I feel like there at least used to be the occasional interesting post or link to a good blog post?

Well, this seems as good a time as any to post that I am seeking PhD students to join my research group in Regina, Canada.

I work on making dependently typed programming languages easier to use...

browsing r/programminglanguages posts kinda depresses me, bcs it feels like all of these hobby langs are really repetitive

most posts are like author's favourite lang + slight syntax variation, it's never like exploring new spots in the design space

it's all been done before
