"Behavioral economics" should really be called "cognitive economics" such that it's understood to be aligned with "cognitive" psychology instead of "behavioral" psychology.

Hi! Woke up to lots of new followers. I'm not the Haley Stevens of Michigan. I'm the Hayley Stevens from Wiltshire, England. Until recently I wrote a science blog about spooky stuff, now I'm studying for my MSc in Forensic Psychology. I'm deeply autistic, sarcastic, and do not endorse Mike Rogers ✌️

The ‘what do you have to lose?’ calculus changes when you feel like you’re already behind.

Will be interesting to see how tonight plays out, but I won’t be surprised if there is significant “quiet defection” among R voters that didn’t show up in polls.

Human psychology is human psychology.

What is something that people unfamiliar with forensic psychology frequently get wrong about forensic psychology? Other than the need for sarcasm.

Brian Krassenstein - Former Miss Teen USA, Dr. Larissa Portnoff, just came out with disgusting, disturbing allegations against Trump.
Portnoff is a highly respected New York–based clinical psychologist & clinical director of New York Psychology Practice. #cdnpoli

I’m sorry fellow psychologists but this is just the logical outcome of an adherence to western psychology in late stage capitalism. This *is* psychology.

It demonstrated a person in tune with the emotional needs of his constituents.

That's... rare. That level of deep understanding of human psychology and empathy is REALLY foreign in a world where the issues seem larger than our individual little lives.

Smart man.

No one is “diagnosing” Haley Stevens, we are speculating about the possible psychology of recent bizarre behavior. “No, that’s not allowed, you must simply declare them Bad and talk about it no further” is an absurd position.
Sure, there are regularities that can be extrapolated out. Psychology is a real field.

Diagnosing candidates is disreputable for good reasons: the evidence we have is limited, filtered, and curated. It's a parasocial relationship, not personal. With that, any conclusions are mostly our biases.

It’s not infantilizing to flag that Stevens is likely behaving so oddly because of relationship stress. It’s just basic psychology.

Having a partner badgering you about a disagreement causes cognitive dissonance, which is famously painful.

None of this means she doesn’t have choices.
