In #COPE #PublicationIntegrityWeek, find out more about our approach to publication integrity. In this world of papermills, image manipulation and fake data produced by GenAI, there’s a real need for publishers to be vigilant to ensure - as far as possible - the integrity of the scientific record.

🚨 It's #PublicationIntegrityWeek at COPE and I'm sure all the #ResearchIntegrity folks are looking forward to the packed schedule as much as me! 🤓 Today's talk about #plagiarism will focus on whether it's still an issue and if it's being weaponised. Any predictions...?

Something that keeps coming up during #PublicationIntegrityWeek is that (1) research integrity/ethics is a systemic issue that requires investment from every single stakeholder for meaningful change and (2) all of these groups have different ideas about what the others should be responsible for

Day 2 of COPE's #PublicationIntegrityWeek 🚨started with a robust discussion about role of all stakeholders in ensuring integrity. Interesting points about educating researchers & changing incentives, but at times, speakers seemed to blame each other. All stakeholders need to take responsibility!
