#PureFlix
Personally I'm glad no fundie studio (Pureflix, Angel Studios) has touched the series. Even if it is a Christian allegory fantasy, CS Lewis would hate that American Evangelicals would soil it with their right-wing/evangelical/fundie nuttery.

American Evangelicals are not a church but a circus

If only the BBC would readapt this series

I grew up watching and loving the 1980s/1990s miniseries

I wouldn't want Evangelical shit studios (like Pureflix or Angel Studios) tainting this beloved series with their right-wing evangelical bull-shittery

This Christian here won't

And PureFlix as well to that list.

now, maintaining access to any given online resource- no matter how innocuous- is contingent on irrational maniacs who get mad at literally everything not getting mad at it, and everyone knows it. the Pureflix crowd has taken its gloves off and will now discover its crossed the line

We have Petra Parker on PureFlix

My goal with my OC Demas Temple's second presidential cabinet was to make every Cabinet members name sound like it could be the name of the villain in a direct-to-DVD political thriller produced by PureFlix.

I guess you could get into pre-Hayes Code noir shit. I'm sure whatever Pureflix subgenius came up with the PG-only rule didn't take any movies older than Honey I Shrunk The Kids into account.

Like when the atheist in a Pureflix movie asks who Jesus is
September 23, 2026 at 3:05 AM
Everything debuts first on streaming, dropping on Great American Pureflix Thursday (Saturday movies) or Friday (Sunday movies)

Saturday debuts only until November, when they expand to Saturday-Sunday, ending December 19.

All very reasonable and sensible. So, they're likely to switch it up 99 times

Peeked at fine print rules to see what they're basing rank on and does say Nielsen Live+Same Day ratings added to Youbora first 24 hr PureFlix metrics, though doesn't say exactly what constitutes "view." (Anyone who clicks? Full watch?)

Youbora numbers not publicly posted, so could be manipulated.

people have been saying Angel studios just makes propaganda stuff, are they like the new PureFlix?
Honey & me saw Coyote vs. Acme today and there was this trailer for a Hershey movie starring Finn Wittrock who will forever be "that loser from American Horror Story" but the trailer was SO fucking hack & cliche? like literally EVERY biopic historical cliche in the book on display, like a parody

I would say Angel Films is the next tier up for PureFlix in filmmaking but only a single tier… so what they release is pretty much still awful.

again Immortal Hulk is basically doing the Gorr plot but a million times better because it actually understands how to convey vulnerability and WHY a character might actually be angry at God like I'm sorry "my family died" is NEVER going to cut it as a "mad at God" reason it's SO PureFlix coded
Kratos at least had legitimate grievances! like Gorr is fundamentally a character who NEVER experiences true weakness, he doesn't know what actual frailty is like because Aaron either can't or won't write him that way and it CRIPPLES this story, there is no humanity to him he is shallow

I think he’s more likely to go the Pureflix route where he plays an endless series of atheists who “find god.”
September 14, 2026 at 2:08 AM
Oh DEFINITELY. I'm kinda fascinated it's on a mainstream service and not like Pureflix
September 13, 2026 at 7:13 PM
Could've been worse.

They could've sent you a trailer to the Pureflix movie Old Fashioned.
September 10, 2026 at 6:52 PM
A deeply weird studio, too, because you'd think they'd have gone full PureFlix in terms of just making preachy whiny conservative ragebait after Sound of Freedom but then it doesn't explain why they put out this:

At best this is a bailout for the motion picture industry. At worst this money will be contingent on making government propaganda, or propping up PureFlix style ideology driven fascist art.

watching pureflix with my tradwife in an ai data center like a good christian man
August 19, 2026 at 11:16 PM
If you can't tell the difference between a story about someone's experience with religion and a Pureflix movie, then you need a heavy-duty industrial winch to pull your head out your ass.

Crack open those D rations to snack on as Emma and Theo break into new territories for the pod—nonfiction and multi-stage adaptations. They break down Louis Zamperini’s life story three ways: through Laura Hillenbrand’s 2010 novel Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption, the 2014 Angelina Jolie-directed Oscar-bait film Unbroken, and the 2018 Pureflix-produced sequel

TOMORROW ON UNNATURAL SELECTION: Emma and @fourwholemoons.bsky.social enter uncharted territory, covering not only a NONFICTION book but also the TWO MOVIES that adapted separate sections of Louis Zamperini's life story. The big question is: can a pureflix adaptation be better than oscar bait? ✈️🪖🏃‍♂️
