#PureMVC
This week, I'll be sharing another set of #ActionScript and #AdobeFlex projects I've compiled with #ApacheRoyale to run on JavaScript and WebGL using #OpenFL. No browser plug-ins. AS3 *transpiled* to JS.

First, is the Employee Admin sample app for the #PureMVC library. Built with Flex 3.

Using frameworks helped me learn to program. I started with Django and Flex (using PureMVC), and they removed low level tedium so I could concentrate on the system. They got me a job and fed my family.

Also learned JS building Angular apps *paid on gigs*

interesting empirical performance data for PureMVC and #robotlegs. tl;dr they are mostly the same https://deceptiveresolution.wordpress.com/2011/06/23/framework-profiling-robotlegs-vs-puremvc/

working on RoboPipes, #robotlegs port of the PureMVC Pipes apparatus. Much easier to grok with events over notifications. #modular

All these PureMVC ports I am writing will work with Swiz, Parsley, Mate, or anything with a central event bus. No Lockin #ftw

this Loadup PureMVC util seems like an overly complex StateMachine. Dunno if I want to make the effort.

Next DI framework to check out is RobotLegs which uses SmartyPantsIoC and is based off PureMVC. https://wiki.github.com/darscan/robotlegs/overview

I really do love PureMVC, but SWiZ makes me want to refactor my apps. >LOVE< the fact that it is POASO as opposed to extended classes.

Just blogged "Flex modules with PureMVC pipes simple demo" : http://www.tekool.net/blog/2009/06/14/puremvc_flex_modules_and_pipes/ (via @tekool) - very nice.

Used Cairngen as a base to build a sweet PureMVC Project Template Generator today.

refactoring this big app into decoupled modules with PureMVC and the Pipes utility. mmm loose coupling.

like most things PureMVC the StateMachine seemed complicated at first, but is actually dead simple. Love it when things click.

studying the seaOfArrows.com source for StateMachine/Pipes goodness http://seaofarrows.com/srcview/ - @puremvc is a psychedelic mf

finally got my brain around the PureMVC Pipes utility. Next, FiniteStateMachine, then on to a blog post to solidify the knowledge. #puremvc
