One of the things I love most about Python is that it's not controlled by one single entity.
To be clear, I mean this in the most positive way
- Not controlled by any one company, university, or individual: no single entity to get mad at
- Dynamically typed: no compiler errors to get mad at
- Minimal, readable syntax: less style to get mad at
- Preinstalled on basically every OS: ez start

So much of “Haskell packaging is bad, it needs to grow up and be a ‘professional’ language” is actually “at work we have a very controlled dev environment and I don’t actually have to manage a Python dev environment myself”
What about those of us who tried to download it and failed because OS X's Python is so borked that I had to first upgrade pip and in the process it uninstalled itself? Do I count as having "downloaded it"?
