I tracked down a rastrum pen so I can make my own staff paper! It's nice both because it's fancy and retro, and because I can write music in any notebook I want.
A dot-grid notebook with 5-line music staves on one page. A 5-tined rastrum pen sits on top of the page, and a bottle of dip pen ink is next to it.

You had this and you had a multi level rastrum camera where you photographed the inked versions of:
1) the background
2) the midground
3) the action in play
4) the foreground

And you could mess with the exposure to blur the foreground just a little bit to add depth on the shot
