Electrification is inevitable. Full stop. It is simply a matter of time.
If I’m Mercedes, RBFPT, Ferrari, and eventually Cadillac, I’m now wondering what actual incentive I have to continue investing in the pinnacle of motorsport if those monies aren’t contributing to my electrification plans.

My feelings about this are... complicated.
On the one hand, as a fan, I love the idea of making F1 cars sound like F1 cars again.
On the other hand, as someone who knows where the auto industry needs to go, dumping the hybrid tech isn't ideal.

RBFPT is a subsidiary of Red Bull. So yes, they own the PT. Ford only puts a stamp on it!
