Put machined aluminum shock caps on the SCX10 instead of the plastic stockers. Ride felt the same day one. What changed is no more oil film around the shock body after a hard session, since the plastic caps were weeping first. Boring but it works. #SCX10 #RCUpgrades

I regret this upgrade: a winch on my SCX24. Looked fantastic. Used it in anger twice, both times badly, and the rest of the year it's just nose weight on a truck that already tips forward too easily. What's your regret? #SCX24 #RCUpgrades

Injora soft compound 1.0 tires on my SCX24. Same diameter as stock, just softer rubber. They grip edges the stock tires skated off, and since the size didn't change there was no gearing or steering tradeoff to absorb. #SCX24 #RCUpgrades

Stock SCX24 shocks are springs with a friction damper, not real oil shocks. Aluminum oil-filled ones change how it settles over rocks more than almost anything else.

Steering feels notchy on the SCX24 and you assume the servo is dying. Check the servo saver spring first, cheap plastic part, wears out from rock hits, fails long before the servo does.
