genuinely a steal for one of the greatest rpgs ive ever played. Also this is canon to RGG7: Like A Dragon (I'm not even joking)

"I want games that actually include strongly written character friendships instead of romance!" so there's this visual novel series called Higurashi and a jrpg called Like A Dragon/RGG7

although, tbh, RGG7/8 are the best suited for handheld play
I played through the entirety of RGG8 on a Steam Deck in handheld mode

I loved that in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, the team members were, by and large, working professionals. I would love to see more of that in JRPG parties (probably also why I love RGG7 and Infinite Wealth!). I'm kinda done with high school students as protags.

I think Like A Dragon (Rgg7) worked well and my spouse who hadn't played any before adored it, but then they went and stumbled with infinite wealth by making half the game about The Timeline.
At least the Judgments dont need any prep and there's only two. That and Ishin

Also, if you play RGG7 (Yakuza: Like A Dragon), one sidequest has an added scene where Ichiban turns to the camera to break the fourth wall after speaking to someone speaking English. But this only happens if the dub is chosen, as shown below. I swear RGG gets off on this... 🤭

This is just all the dragon engine assets specifically from Y6 and Judgment and like RGG7. The shitty reusable office rooms are like a dear friend to me. I didn't even see the trailer. Can already tell this will be godlike

Weird amount of dooming in the thread about Infinite Wealth's numbers compared to RGG7.
It's been out a fraction of the time and launched at a higher MSRP. Didn't it still break 1M copies on day one, or at least by the end of its launch week?
