getting #RISCOSMerlin to be able to boot on #UEFI is being a lot of fun and a great opportunity to learn in more details UEFI on AArch64 vs my old knowledge of UEFI on Intel/AMD. The fun part if always the learning.

Well, I am beyond excited! I freaking cracked the code! At a very crazy hour of this morning (after a long night battling) #RISCOSMerlin initialized all the cores on x86_64 (on both regular path and XEN/KVM) and tests started to pass! It's still unstable, but oh well, this is totally awesome! 😍 🤯 🎉

Adding #PCI / #PCIe support to #RISCOSMerlin HAL it's beeing a large work! But I am moving forward. One thing I want from "day 0" is security, so I am designing everything to work in isolation, then when all is done, I'll have to map the work to the RO personality. Unit Tests passed the thousands 🤯

#RISCOSMerlin has a working VFS and FAT32 Filesystem! 🎉
Not only that but for the first time even I can use NIX paths in RISC OS completely fine! (aka `/this/is/a/path`). Next I'll need to fix file's time (but that will come with the RTC HAL). 👇

tonight it's a battle to get #RISCOSMerlin x86_64 to initialize the other cores while maintaining support for dual boot (traditional + XEN/KVM)... I forgot how painful x86 assembly was... 🤯
