#RNAScope/IF
While VENs might not know (or care) if a hot dog is a sandwich, I do agree with Vinny that cell types can be linked to pretty specific brain functions. And, sidebar that VENs are super frigging cool to visualize in the human brain. This RNAscope validation from a preprint we will drop very soon -

Hi #RNASky 👋 - does anyone have thoughts/experience they would like to share re: #RNAScope vs #RNA #FISH? Even better if you've tried it in plants 🌱

If you don't feel comfortable sharing publicly please DM me

Much appreciated!

We designed an #RNAScope/IF experiment to measure six broad cell types in the #DLPFC. We used #HALO from Indica Labs to count the occurrence of the cell types across the tissue sections 🔬 #ImmunoFlourescence (awesome work from Kelsey Montgomery)

If you are using RNAscope - we strongly recommend trying HCR as an alternative. A fraction of the cost and much more transparent and flexible.
