On Tuesday January 6th the Norwegian QRA identified a Tu-142 Bear-F, "in international airspace off the Norwegian coast".

Romania’s Air Force continues to bolster its capabilities with the arrival of 2 more F-16s from Norway. The aircraft touched down on May 22 at the 71st Air Base “General Emanoil Ionescu” in Câmpia Turzii.

Vintage Friday: Lockheed RF-104G Starfighter in service with RNoAF. They operated 43 Starfighters serving with the 331 and 334 Squadrons. The type was in service from 1974 to 1982. There were some losses, but less than other operators like the Luftwaffe.

Theoretically they could be ground launched and passed clear over Finland, Sweden and Norway without being spotted. Or we the audience are meant to accept the RNoAF and RAF have failed to spot a Russian launch aircraft.

Why not? Here are the two models I won silver with at a recent modelling contest/exhibition in Malmö. An F-117 Nighthawk from Desert Storm and an F-35A Lightning II from the RNoAF. Both are 1/48 scale Tamiya kits.
