yeah, absolutely agreed! just, speaking as someone who has taught tabletop concepts to people who have NEVER played a roleplay game before, are not into board games or cards, do not do improv courses, I think a lot of people also misunderstand what a true BEGINNER is, like starting from base, haha

You know I never thought I'd be into watching GTAV roleplay until Jerma started doing it. Now I found like several people that are entertaining to watch. I thought it'd be mostly people trying to one up XQC but people come up with some pretty unique characters.

There's a lot of consideration in it. When I last played, I finally got to the Garden of Ru'Hmet but I recall starting and going "I'm going to need to figure out a way for monsters to ignore me until I get strong enough to face them.". There's something very endearing about the roleplay of it all.

I actually think about that second point a lot! I came into tabletop already very familiar with roleplay, and I think having that familiarity, either with the mechanics side through other games, OR through roleplay via improv or whatever else, does a lot to bridge that gap when someone is new
