I think Ronald McDonald threw the first brick at Stonewall
Yes, of course McDonald’s posting about National Coming Out Day is “performative.” Nobody thinks Ronald McDonald threw the first brick at Stonewall. Nonetheless, the biggest and most influential institutions in American life performing affirmation of LGBT social and civil equality is a good thing.
That's nice and all, but much of this is performative, *especially* when corporations are cowed by shareholders and anti-LGBT+ activists. The likes of Costco who gave anti-DEI activists the middle finger should be celebrated because they stand for diversity even in the face of shouty assholes.

😬 Katie Zacharia's first press briefing was brutally bad 😬

Trump managed to find a press secretary who can barely read, but she does have the number one qualification -- looking like Ivanka

Here's a supercut from Zacharia's first briefing, which made Karoline Leavitt seem like Ronald Reagan

Corporations publicly celebrating LGBT+ equality is a good thing and I am glad to see it coming back.

Honestly "Ronald McDonald threw the first brick at Stonewall" is my new headcanon. you may have just set off dominoes that lead to the unironic future headline "USAToday's #1 queer icon of 2050 is Ronald McDonald"

‘ronald reagan was lowkey better than Joe Biden’ if you actually think this then save yourself the trouble and stop following me
Also, in seriousness: this is why you cannot trust the far-left on LGBTQ+ issues. They will sell it all out for the slightest point of appearing slightly more clever than liberals
