Re: BlizzCon, barring a major reshuffle, I will not be there in person this year.
I had booked something important well before we knew the dates internally.
So, this rarespawn remains rare.
But, I would have loved talking Zul’Aman in person. I hope the team gets lots of fun chats with folks.

Today in rarespawn office dogs: a puppy one of my coworkers is fostering! His name is Nevada and he's got a foxy face, dense red fur, and was an absolute snugglebug - just got in my lap and stayed there for 5m.

The key was to complain about it then play cookie clicker for 2 hours waiting for a spawn.
Now I just need the god awful double rare spawn to complete the meta.

It was bittersweet to watch BlizzCon happen from afar. I don't regret the choice to stay home, it was awesome to see my colleagues experience the con and mingle with folks who are truly excited to play their work.

As an alternative means to obtain, sure. Especially if collected versions were an option where appropriate.
How much better it would feel would depend on how much work it would be to craft (is it gonna take that rarespawn mining node or that one patch specific herb). bind type, etc.

I was gonna mow the lawn after I ate lunch, but Arfas went out to sunbathe as he loves to do, and asked to come in fairly quickly.

Oh, regarding the bugs, I don't remember all the details, but that rarespawn bug was one of three bug reports we made that he closed all at once.
One actually did get fixed, but another one had no change in the end (i.e. not fixed) and the rarespawn one had that hilariously wrong outcome.

The bug had the rarespawn all set as neutral when some should be hostile. The guy ended up making them friendly instead, closed the bug report, and when we called him on it, he got all pissy and banned us.

Still, he was horrible at fixing bugs. One bug report we made was about the rarespawn in Northrend. We were achievement hunters, and the rarespawn, mounts, and pets, were among the ones we enjoyed hunting for the most.
