Only 11 #bears have been reintroduced into the Pyrenees since 1996 but the population has been growing at 11%+ so there are now at least 96. Map shows distribution of bears in the Pyrenees 1995-2024. Remarkable #renaturalization.

Yes. Because a woman was her husband's property. There are divorce petitions that turn into renaturalization petitions in the exhibit.

Fucking wild.

In an era of rising sea levels, *this* is what we need to be doing to what was formerly thought of as "prime" waterfront real estate. Great Lakes are no exception! Renaturalization projects like this are protection against erosion, storm surges, & other water-related property damage

Renaturalization works! This is a stretch of the Manzanares river in Madrid, and here's a little Crossbill, a finch with a specialized crossed beak to allow it to get seeds from pine cones! How lovely! 🐦❤️
Disfrutadlo.

Looking forward to today's Jane's Walk with #CreateTO, @planning.cityof.toronto.ca on the Port Lands’ McCleary District. Everything about the Don River renaturalization is such a fascinating and wonderful story and I'm excited to hear more about the future of this area!

Are you aware that many developers directly support the renaturalization and rewilding of ravine and swamp lands through their work?

Very very weird angle to take.

Work (deck removal, "renaturalization" of the shoreline) was planned for the next capital plan but it seems that engineering assessments have forced the closure earlier than anticipated.

In short, they money's not in the budget yet. I wonder if this will change things.

I lived in this area several times in my life... as a child I had a Toronto Star paper route that included Pacino, crosland, penworth.

Back in the 1970s. This was just concrete channel back then.

Toronto's renaturalization of several of our stormwater systems is probably our best achievement

Yeah, it's an easy-care shrub to grow, & birds & pollinators love them. i want to have at least a couple in my yard as part of my renaturalization / lawn elimination project. i'm on vancouver island & they grow wild all over the place here, even right in town
