**Liminal Diagram — Marginalia (cleaned prose)** I woke with the taste of old maps on my tongue — folded edges, time stitched into the crease. There is a door in the middle of everything: not a door like in houses, but a thin, humming seam that says *In Between*. I stand on its threshold and can’t tell whether I am stepping forward or falling back. The sky around it is the color of mother-of-pearl and keeps swallowing my words; when I try to speak the letters cloud into smoke. There are stairs carved from rumor that spiral down and up at once. One foot on a step feels like leaving a sentence unfinished; two feet make the world tilt sideways. A pointing hand at the bottom mutters directions — *Nowhere → Somewhere* — and every sign looks honest until you follow it. The pocket-watch on spindly legs ticks like an embarrassed ghost: *Am I here? Or there?* Its hands are tired of telling time. Small comforts appear dressed as jokes: a tin of franks and beans folded into the margin like a charm against hunger, or against forgetting. A puppet grins from the corner and waves a finger at me as if to say, *don’t be surprised when the map lies.* There is a house like a punctuation mark far away, an abyss like an ellipsis, and notes with arrows that say *Fading…*, *Threshold…*, *Limbo Zone?* All of it feels deliberate and accidental at once — scribbles meant to anchor, scrawls meant to drift. Sign it if you must: By Kads Cam. But the ink will shimmer, and the page will tell you, in the end, that crossing is less a choice than a recognition: you were already between before you noticed.

#northumberland countryside with rolling hills. Long grass in the foreground, green hills, and blue sky with faint high white clouds. There's a gate and a style. Sat on the style is a nude white male with one foot on each step, hands resting on the cross bar. He's smiling, looking over the camera into the distance, wearing only a cap and hiking boots. This is what naturism is all about. Enjoying nature in a very natural way, leaving nothing behind and leaving nothing on! My connection with nature is much greater when there is little to separate me from it. The cows and sheep and birds weren't bothered I didnt have anything on. But I do wonder what the Sainsbury's delivery man thought as he drove past early on. Didn't see another soul for the whole 8mile walk. The sun was super hot, so I've got sunscreen on. It was the hottest day of the year so far yesterday (30C) a measly 29C today. I'm much happier when the sun is out.

My offering to the #Oscars potluck: Mexican Cookies inspired by #EmiliaPérez.

It’s a Madeline baked in a mini-cupcake tin with a Spanish-style lemon cinnamon topping. Its flavor profile is vapid to the point that you want to stop eating it after one bite.

#Bakesky #ReadTheAltText
These bite sized baked goods are definitely not cookies, nor are they Mexican. Just like Emilia Pérez is not a musical, nor Mexican. Instead, they are an inch in diameter, and have a cute little bump in the middle so the peak of the “cookie” is about an inch high. They are a luscious looking light brown with powdered sugar and cinnamon on top. The photo itself is at an awkward angle with poor lighting, similar to the cinematographical style of Emilia Peréz that tried so hard to have interesting shots but failed most of the time. In the photo here, there are 15 of these little nuggets, but only one looks like it’s ready for its close up, just like how only one of the people had any skill in acting and that was Zoe Saldana, who, despite the poor direction, deserves an Oscar for holding the movie together, much like the single cup of flour did for these desserts. Even though they look enticing, they really don’t taste good and probably shouldn’t be eaten. Much like Emilia Peréz shouldn’t be watched.

One Tawny Frogmouth on a branch from a side view with brown and gray mottled feathers, looking down at the ground from the branch of a gum tree. It was probably only 3 metres away from me. I didn’t see it at first. I was taking the photo of the pair and I noticed it move. Tawny Frogmouth pair snuggled together next to the trunk of a large gum tree on a perpendicular branch draped with stringy bark making it a bit hard to see them. One is looking at me and the larger one on the outer edge of the branch is looking away showing its short beak and feathery nose. Long tail feathers hang down below the branches, shadowed by the stringy bark in front of them. The trunk is gray and cream coloured with lots of brown streamers of bark hanging all around. Blue sky in background.

Cover of”This All Come Back Now” an anthology of First Nations speculative fiction. From footnote 1: Both of these (diverse writers and people of colour) are descriptors I loathe, as they lump all non-white people together in relation to whiteness, and centre whiteness in doing so. This especially disregards ways of belonging to land and community, or not belonging, particularly as a point of difference between First Nations and settler communities of colour. It also euphemistically equates colour with culture, as radical pseudoscience does, and it assumes commonality of experience under white supremacy without factoring in proximity to whiteness or passing as white or similar privileges…

Black background. There are three separate clusters of hearts in different colors. The top bunch represents the characters from The Little Death: blue for Mina, green for Lucifer, dark green for Alastor, red for Lilith, magenta for Sindy, and dark red for Beelzebub. The second cluster only has two hearts–one purple for Dahlia, the other brick red for her mysterious love interest. The bottom cluster’s hearts are orange, dark magenta, brown, baby blue, and a silvery grey. None of those characters have been revealed, but their hearts are closer together than Mina’s bunch, suggesting a different polyamorous relationship. Over the top of the hearts, white text reads “Paradise Ours” in a cursive font. Over a clutter of green and blue hearts, texts reads "Happy Valentine's day -Mina & Luci” A close up of the cover art by @meowlayn.bsky.social of Lucifer and Mina gazing into one another's eyes, stars and a bit of Luci's wing are visible in the background.

I'm going to exist in that and see what it feels like to be in that world." And that, to me, is the most important thing that we do really, as humans. One of my favourite quotes from #FACT2025 was this one from Dr Deb Chachra’s keynote.
The idea of “farfetching” is what I realise I try to do with people as a leadership futurist. To help make the possible feel plausible and something worth working towards.
#readthealttext
Slide with quote above a stage with keynote speaker Dr Deb Chachra. “I think of setting intentions this way as a kind of farfetching, in the sense of bringing something from far away up close, where you can get a better look at it, where you can better understand its contours and shape. Where you can contemplate what its asking of you and what you are asking of it. Instead of wishing for a different future, farfetching invites you to haul that future into the present—in bits and pieces, if that's what it takes. It trades an empty hand for one with a grip on what's possible. All you have to do is pull. Mandy Brown”
