One of the deadliest incidents of #TheTroubles was on #ThisDayInHistory in 1998. The #OmaghBombing was carried out by #RealIRA, a splinter from the #Provos that opposed the #GoodFriday deal. 29 people were killed and about 220 wounded since the car bomb's location was not shared.

I don't see a "civil war" in the sense that people in the US see it.

It won't be Blue and Gray, nor will it be Cavaliers and Roundheads.

It will be RealIRA, Provos and RUC and Specials.

It will be more like the Lebanese Civil war than anything else.

No battles, but everyplace a battlefield.
