Also the idea that we can actually do our own reasearch is pantently absurd. Sure we can google things, but that's not reasearch, that's also trusting experts.

Just got off the phone with my son who is in research at a major university. At a group meeting they were informed the NIH funds run out in May and those are the most worrisome. 70% of the uni reasearch funding comes from the NIH. Cutting edge medical research!

It is entirely possible that this data (in the article) is in some ways flawed and Russian are still recruiting 30+K per month - but some of the data indicating that 30+K also has flaws.
So, maybe just something that needs more reasearch and data.

If this article is true, even accounting for people from the prison system not getting a bonus and so adding some on top (lets say 20K in Q2), that would still mean the monthly recruitment to be around 20K - likely below the number of irrecoverable losses
