in my humble opinion i think editing is for chumps and you should simply accept that you made a typo because such is the nature of being human, but i would love a "delete and redraft" option (including any attached media + alt text) to fix whatever typo you spotted immediately after posting.
here's what we're thinking:
1) you have 5 minutes to edit a post
2) you can only edit each posts once
3) images and videos can’t be edited
4) a prominent "edited" badge appears on the post
5) version history is visible to everyone
6) your account has to be at least a week old

I can do it because I write quickly (I can write a novel in three months), I don't redraft, I don't typically need much editing, and I return copyedits and proofs within days. Also, as I have a long-term contract with Tor, I don't have try to sell my novels to a publisher; they're already sold.
Hard to get a book written and to print in just two years. Interesting that you can.

An incompetent colleague I manage doesn't realise I copy and paste every email email I send her into CoPilot and ask 'redraft this for a colleague who can't take any critical feedback'. Our working relationship has improved a lot since I started doing this.
