Reedham Ferry, Norfolk.

Always a treat! A 40 mile cycle ride out from Norwich to Reedham, crossing the River Yare by the chain ferry, is probably the best thing it's still possible to do for £1 (per person).

Hip is giving me a lot of grief today - could barely manage the mile walk to Reedham from our camp ground at the Reedham Ferry Inn - as ever the Pentax 17 is my faithful companion , today sporting this lovely green filter.

John Arnesby Brown's 'The Cross Roads,' (c1953) depicts a junction at Hadiscoe in Norfolk on the Reedham to Beccles road. St Mary's church, with its distinctive Saxon round tower, sits on an area of higher ground and is a landmark for miles around.
