Well this is cool! I often wondered why we don't host more regattas on the Mississippi.
Teams from across the U.S. and Canada will race upstream on the Mississippi River through Minneapolis on Saturday.
Rowers will race against the clock, starting at the Lake Street bridge and racing upstream to the finish just beyond the Washington Avenue bridge.

I love that Shelburne Bay in Vermont is home to so many sailboats. So quiet, non-polluting, graceful, and soothing . The regattas on Wednesday evenings are a dream for photographers.
