Spatially harnessing oxygenase enables paired and ultraselective electrooxidative waste depolymerization - PubMed
Electrooxidative C - C bond cleavage often encounters poor regioselectivity and low efficiency in conventional single-anode systems. Here, we deliberately customize a bipolar enzymic electrocatalyst HM@MM-MWCNT...

basically yeah. There are also a surprising number of organic syntheses that lead to incidental MgMe2 side products -- mercuration is thankfully rare in the actual lab these days but is a traditional method for forcing regioselectivity in alkene -> alcohol conversions. never doing it myself though!!

Hybrid QM/ML approaches for the prediction of regioselectivity in Minisci C–H functionalisation reactions | ChemRxiv
Regioselectivity models are of key importance to the implementation of C–H functionalisations in synthetic route planning. In structure- and fragment-based drug discovery (SBDD/FBDD), ligand-target affinity is enhanced by elaborating weak hits into potent ...

My 1st #Chemistry #ChemEd #ChemSky summary on pericyclic reactions (more to follow) & it is on the Diels-Alder reaction. This is a fantastic reaction but I only cover the basics. Bond formation, regioselectivity (very simplistically) & a comment on exo vs endo. No Woodward-Hoffmann rules.
Enjoy.
