#Religious art
The actual worst thing ai art does is make it hard for me to find religious art to go "this is me, this is who you're being a hater to"

Oh what's that? Some casual heresy?

the art at chauvet also may have served a religious — at the very least spiritual — purpose!

Insane Facebook AI religious art might actually be its own art (Samples not posted to spare friends whose eyes get understandably hurt seeing it)

Their hatred of anyone who is not from the historically dominant local ethnic/religious/gender group means that they cannot perceive that all great art is the experiential fusion of diverse individuation with communal epistemics.

and seeing writers claim that art is favored by socmed for being "quick and easy to consume" is so fucking insulting. socmed favors IMAGES. that is true. that does NOT mean it favors art. just last week someone was getting harassed on the other site for making too good a use of religious imagery.

i love terrible art, btw, here's a fake listing with obviously ai generated images detailing the severity of my totally real religious persecution i experienced growing up.

The artists did work that, in most cases, would feed them. They may have been motivated by their own religious feelings, or someone else's. But still: it's art and I think we're better off for it.

Also, this is stuff like movie screenings, live music, DJs, night markets, art shows, not creepy religious indoctrination stuff and the like.

Exactly! To kinda bring my own possibly delusional perspective to the table (do feel free to tell me to shut up) I view Art as just about the closest thing I have to a religious belief… and when I say Art I mean just about ever form of Art, from films to novels and paintings etc... But never ai.

"Every disturbance was registered and turned into a map, slowly unfolding...It was glowing brightly inside her skull, illuminated like a religious icon with its covering of seeds, more powerful than ever. In this way, Cady read the Book of the Woods."

My art is created through the emotional processing into healing from 30 years of religious and emotional abuse in the context of "Biblical Marriage". It's done purely spontaneously and intuitively.
