An interesting paper by Łukasz Remisiewicz in #Scientometrics, introducing the concept of "metric capital": academic indicators that researchers can accumulate and convert into positions, funding, promotions, and recognition doi.org/10.1007/s111... #Assessment #Bibliometrics #ResearchEvaluation

Imagine, news about changes in organization of science that — surprise, surprise — don't lead to enshitificaton of academia 🙃 How about 15 years of funding for young researchers? 😍

I believe that one can well evaluate a scientific project just by looking at the academic trajectories of the younger project members. A caring mentor is likely a good researcher too 🫂 At least that's my consistent observation. What do you think? #ResearchEvaluation
