On March 21, an asteroid exploded resulting in a shower of meteorites that fell over north Houston. Enjoy Bruu Srivastava's, EEPS Ph.D student's, reaction to being surprised with an up close visit with the Houston Meteorite.

Marble is one of the plainest rocks on Earth. Rice geoscientist Gabi Costin and his collaborators found that it also keeps one of the most detailed diaries.
