In #Horwich there is a tradition to walk up #RivingtonPike on Good Friday. My grandparents used to tell me stories of the Easter fair that arrived at one of the flatlands on the way up. This is what I imagined.

All the way up to #RivingtonPike Tower today. Over three hours there, just over one hour back.

Reason horrible hills and ridiculous road/tracks as soon as you get close to Rivington Pike.

Still I did it and I have a sore knee too prove it.

We found a stone circle...complete with altar. It was when I mused about the qualifications required to be a sacrifice that the Mrs slapped me... 🙈 #RivingtonPike

Still had to do PE in 6th form on. Me and my friends chose cross country around #Rivington Instead, ran down the lane to my friends house for pots of tea. This went on for weeks until we were rumbled. From then on we were deposited near #RivingtonPike in the school mini bus!
