I wouldn't want to have dinner with reviled Roman emperor Caligula but I can appreciate the recent opportunity to sketch him at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts while on vacation!

Decided to make a somewhat fancy breakfast for myself today. Honeycrisp apples, pamesean slices, cheddar cheese, caprese chicken sausages, and rice crackers. Ooh! I'll add some dried plums and apricots later. Is this #romanemperor-core?

The last Western #RomanEmperor, Romulus Augustus, was deposed by Odoacer who then proclaimed himself King of Italy, marking the end of the Western Roman Empire. The #RomanEmpire itself, however, would not fall until Constantinople was taken by the Ottomans in 1453.
