i really wish you could sync ssh keys nicely using the secure enclave, but i’ve only seen rootshell implement that and it won’t play nicely with ssh agents. secretive is cool but the keys are inherently bound to the device

Just upgraded my Mac Mini because I enjoy it so much. Having Tailscale and rootshell on my iPad mini makes doing small tasks easy. Haven’t touched my MacBook Pro in months.

what harness do you use via rootshell? Have been using it heaps for remote coding but surprisingly haven’t messed with any harnesses other than the built in one (which is ,,, average…)

you can have so much fun just on your phone with rootshell for management + tmux for keeping an rc session going, claude mobile app with the code tab (for nice gui), and cloudflare mcp for managing sites

rootshell is still my preferred lightweight terminal, but its “multi-hop” currently seems to mean only one jump host. Once it supports true multi-jump chains, it’ll cover this use case too.

I’ve been looking for a good one for so long and the blog post recommended Rootshell.
