Rosasite is a mineral sometimes used as an ore of copper and zinc. It occurs in deposits of copper and zinc. This mineral has a striking blue-green color and typically forms in fibrous crystals. Though it is quite rare, it has been discovered in many places around the world.

Continuation of the gem line up; they go in set of two, "twins" but they couldn't be any less related. Howlites, Sulfurs, Pyrites and Ambers. Howlites & Ambers are maybe as tall as Jasper, the Pyrite are around Garnet's size, the surlfur are butterfly looking thing smaller than even a Ruby. Line up continuation; an older Rosasite proudly shows off her younger gemfriends Malachite and Malachite, next is a surfer looking Lapis Lazuli. Lapis looks miniscule next to the giant lesbians but she's human size.

One of my favorite recent detail shots of a mineral

Azurite and malachite rosettes with orange limonite, and I suspect the smaller aqua spheres could be rosasite.

ROTD continuing post 🧪⚒️ with my 9 favorite rocks from last year, here are 4 more samples (in no particular order)
This sample is Rosasite, which is the blue crystals emerging from the red matrix rock. The piece is is oblong, football shaped, with a blue shock of crystals erupting from the center. This is a piece of druzy azurite. It's roughly circular, and the dull gray color of the Matrix really highlights the shock of blue that comes off of this under natural light. This is a copper secondary that forms under very specific conditions, but is one of the most beautiful rocks around. This is a piece of hemomorphite. This is a zinc silicate that forms flat bladed crystals as well as a large clear crystal on the top left. The rusty red matrix is concentrated in the center, with the crystals radiating from the center. This is black tourmaline and flourite in an cluster. The tourmaline is situated in beryl shapes running horizontally vertically and sideways at 45° angles and you can just see a hint of green on the fluorite that is growing on this is an interesting piece because I have not seen tourmaline on fluorite grow quite like this before.

Todays ROTD 🧪⚒️ is Rosasite a carbonate mineral with minor potential for use as a zinc and copper ore.
Chemically, it is a copper zinc carbonate hydroxide at 3:2 zinc, occurring in the secondary oxidation zone of copper-zinc deposits. It was originally discovered in 1908 in the Rosas mine in Italy.
Brown and orange blob that looks kind of like a hardened wad of oatmeal, yet shining with sparkly flakes of mica. Dozens of tiny green crystals sprout all over the stone, a harsh but pretty contrast against a rust-colored rock. The rosaries is the deep teal dots on the surface. Appearing as what could only be described as forbidden fried chicken, a blend of colors between bright orange, deep teal, and silver. The surface of this appears to be as I said, the skin of fried chicken but with wild colors and a variety of crystal formations. The rosarite that our rock of the day is for is the deep teal specks that dot the surface. This side really brings out the orange and the white that dot the landscape of this piece. Many of the rosarite teal dots speckle the surface, but that orange almost outshines it. This is the underside of the piece, and the rosarite (teal dots) is really starkly contrasting the orange and brown and silver of the rest of it.
