Chrissake, the mid-2000s FF movies made Galactus into a living cloud. Yeah, Galactus was a threat in ROTSS, the same way the asteroid from Armageddon was a threat.

Say what you want about First Steps, at least Galactus had a personality.

Fantastic 4: 1st steps is what Rise Of The Silver Surfer should've been. While I see recasting in superhero films akin to a new artist drawign the comic, and can see the cast doing a good job in FF:1stS, for me, the cast of ROTSS looks better... plus, did a good job with what they were given.

making kids cry in survive tsunami for brainrot
The stream kicks off with an introduction to the wildly popular game, Escape Tsunami for Brain Rotss, which has captured the attention of many players, particularly younger audiences. The premise of the stream revolves around the host's intention to engage in mischievous behavior by using Robux, the in-game currency, to 'steal' from younger players who are still figuring out the intricacies of the game. This introduction sets a playful tone, as the host gleefully shares their plan to enter private servers and use their financial advantage to take resources from these unsuspecting children. The commentary is light-hearted yet provocative, highlighting the contrast between the host's adult capabilities and the children's limitations, which adds a layer of humor to the overall concept. As the host navigates through various private servers, the interactions with younger players become a focal point. A moment of excitement arises when one of the children recognizes the host and expresses their admiration. The host capitalizes on this connection, urging the young fan to perform specific actions like jumping or spinning in circles to demonstrate their fandom. This interaction not only serves to entertain the viewers but also amplifies the playful mischief the host intends to execute. The dynamic between the host and the young players underscores the whimsical and slightly chaotic energy of the stream, where admiration and playful thievery coexist in a humorous, albeit morally questionable, manner. The stream further explores the concept of online interactions and the community aspect of gaming, particularly how platforms like Roblox allow for such diverse experiences. The host's commentary touches on the innocence of younger players and contrasts it with the more seasoned, often exploitative, tactics employed by older, more experienced gamers. This commentary, while amusing, also subtly critiques the gaming ecosystem, where financial power can overshadow the spirit of fun and fair play. The humor is infused with a sense of irony as the host revels in their ability to manipulate the game to their advantage, reminding viewers of the often unseen dynamics of online gaming communities. Throughout the stream, the visuals and sounds of the game provide an engaging backdrop that enhances the overall experience. The constant engagement with the audience, including real-time reactions and interactions, keeps the energy high and viewers invested. The host's keen ability to maintain a light-hearted demeanor, even while engaging in what could be viewed as predatory behavior, adds a unique twist that keeps the commentary entertaining. The combination of humor, community interaction, and commentary on gaming culture creates a multifaceted experience that resonates with both players and viewers alike, making for a memorable and engaging stream.

SURVIVE THE TSUNAMI FOR BRAINROT!!
Escape Tsunami for Brain Rotss has captured the attention of the gaming community, and with a staggering 200,000 players engaging at its peak, this Roblox phenomenon demands exploration. The initial impressions are striking, as the game's aesthetic is likened to something crafted by an imaginative toddler—an amusing yet pointed observation that sets the tone for the commentary. As the gameplay commences, the mechanics are straightforward: players collect items dubbed 'brain rot' and race back to their base before being wiped out by a tsunami. The simplicity of the premise is juxtaposed with an evident critique of its originality, with the host humorously insinuating that this concept is anything but groundbreaking. The host dives deeper into the gameplay, expressing fascination with the upgrade mechanics that allow players to enhance their speed. The commentary reflects a blend of genuine curiosity and playful sarcasm, as the host acknowledges the bizarre charm of the game's design. With a current balance of $340 in-game currency, the host contemplates the strategic decisions ahead, emphasizing the importance of speed in staying ahead of the impending tsunami. As the host collects more brain rot, the urgency intensifies, showcasing the frantic energy of the game. Each successful return to the base garners a mix of triumph and bemusement, as the graphics continue to draw lighthearted jabs. The experience evolves into a comedic commentary on the absurdities of the game world, blending critique with genuine amusement. The intricacies of navigating this chaotic environment reveal not just the game's challenges but also how it cleverly captures the attention of its audience, despite—or perhaps because of—its questionable design choices. The host wraps up with reflections on the game's appeal, acknowledging its viral status while simultaneously poking fun at its execution, suggesting that there’s a unique allure to such unapologetically simplistic gameplay.

I do like it. Its like a 2.5 or 3 out of 5 for me. I dont know that FF and ROTSS are necessarily better, but they have more personality and in terms of voice 3 of the 4 characters feel true to Lee-Kirby. Also Ben turning back to the Thing in FF had more emotional weight than First Steps' climax.

At least RotSS is an easy 97 minutes?

And it really needed to be over two hours. I'd have happily been there for 2 30.

did you ever get around to seeing RotSS? (spoiler-ish?) that movie, for me, had one of the most unintentionally disturbing death scenes, I may need to watch it again to see if it still hits the same

So I am not going to rewatch the previous FF movies for obvious reasons, but I did like ROTSS and I've been thinking about it especially since Julian's passing, here's a post from when I was in London in 2023.

So I kinda liked Julian's Doctor Doom in the Fantastic Four movies (ROTSS even more so) but I can't help but think about this strip www.digitalpimponline.com/comic/movie/...

I can’t say it looks “bad”. Everything in it is exactly what you expect from a competent big budget redo of ROTSS.

The casting is the only interesting thing about it.

Say what you will about the Superman trailer but it promises new ideas.

It’s my gut opinion, I could be wrong, but I’m gonna need to see her in a longer clip first. The rest of the CG looks good.

And calling ROTSS one of the worst when the 2015 FF movie, Dark Phoenix and any Zack Snyder DC movie exists is a weird choice.

Yeah, I’m really looking forward to seeing how Galactus is handled this time around. I just recently got around to watching the original F4 movies and while I enjoyed them, it would’ve been really cool if we actually got to SEE Galactus in RotSS
