About route design, I think it was clever because of how they handled the "go linear for casual players that just want to play the main plot fast" while "making lot of branches or bigger optional parts of the routes for veterans to explore". Route7 is a great example of that. But happens every time.

theres a human record that mentions the dept store has a New Location with changes to what is sold/stocked and that kind of makes ME think the two cities must've developed into each other (route7 is teeny tiny after all) at the very least, but...it kinda feels like...Something Happened To Celadon...
