‘Thanks to the rhetoric of both the nationalist right and some voices in or near government, what causes most fear among settled and newly arrived migrants is that they are assumed without argument to be criminal, morally alien, actively hostile to the communities around them.’ #RowanWilliams

"Here is classic Rowan Williams. This is a significant work of compassion and wisdom, one that — I dare to guess — will stand out even among the great range of writings that he has produced."

In *Discovering Christianity*, Rowan Williams offers a profound and gracious exploration of faith, inviting both the devout and the inquisitive to rediscover Christianity’s heart. Not as a tool of power, but as a path of love grounded in God’s nearness and grace. #rowanwilliams #spck #christianity

I'm with #RowanWilliams. Given how much mileage #Peterson gets out of #God, he seems unsure if there’s a real “other” on the other end of his spiritual hotline. Are we talking about God, an outside force, or just a mirror inside Peterson?

‘[We need] a story about the kind of vulnerabilities that people in the streets in the UK can identify with – something that amplifies the voice of the ordinary migrant and helps it to be recognisable.’ #RowanWilliams

‘In our search for meaning, Pope Francis showed us where to look’. Classic #RowanWilliams in @thetimes.com today: profound, probing, and puzzling thoughts after the funeral. Good to see the photo illustrating the close friendship between Pope #Francis and Archbishop Justin #Welby.

A sermon is not “an op-ed for a newspaper”, the former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Williams has said. He offered the comments in a new podcast, Preaching Well, launched by the Bishop of Loughborough, the Rt Revd Saju Muthalaly 🎧

As ever, Rowan Williams offers profound wisdom:

"As Christ represents humanity by standing where sinful and suffering human beings stand, so we seek, not innocence... but fidelity to the place where suffering is happening" (239).

Add to this there are three positive stories about #NigelFarage and no mention of #RowanWilliams open and blatant criticism of him in regard to using Christianity to attack Muslims.

Every day it becomes more and more apparent just how fucked up the #BBC has become.
