Yeah, they’re very basic but I find them so intriguing. Getting them to do anything at all is a real puzzle :)
And the Hobby Module is fascinating, you’re right. I have several for the Rowtron/Teleng version & did some Twitch live streams on it about a year ago. I should edit them up & carry on…

Faulty Rowtron /Teleng and loads of carts. On/off switch was faulty 😂Bypassed it whilst I search for part.

A Rowtron 2000. I believe it was the only MPT-03 clone sold in the U.K. Hanimex cloned the Emerson architecture and Rowtron cloned the MTP-03 design.
This one’s fully working but needs tlc. I also need it to diagnose a broken one!

Some APVS clone types had internal sockets, like the Intertons and Rowtron/Telengs. Emerson Arcadia clones, Channel Fs, Videopacs and MPT-03s also had internal sockets - it was just the Radofin/Acetronics and Videomaster/Voltmaces that were hardwired. And yeah, it must have been to save costs.
