Every poll in the first round of the current presidential election in Brazil here showed Lula on the lead, save for a few. (His fascist opponent took the lead on the first round, and now we are desperate to gain votes in the runoff)

This type of rain in October is so good to help up the moisture content of the soil. That’s key to a good runoff, even if the snowfall is low. When the soil is saturated going into winter, less snowmelt is absorbed in the spring and more runoff reaches the GSL and reservoirs.
