We don't see many Rhurbarb & Custards (the Rosy Knot-horn - Oncocera semirubella) at home or away, and we've not had two in the same trap until today. What a cool moth this is ~ gorgeous!

Early morning wander to Worth after even earlier morning moth-age SBBO & chuffed to hear the excited bubbling "prrrup, prrup" of Bee-eaters. Found an open area, scanned & picked up four birds hawking WNW of Blue Pigeons Farm.

A few BOC shots from Portland Bill this evening (5-6pm). Our SBBO group had fantastic views of both Pomarine and Arctic Skuas harassing Gulls not far offshore.. plus the usual Manxies!

Beautiful cooling breeze along the beach at Sandwich Bay this afternoon. This pristine Brown Argus was one of the highlights amongst this vibrant beach habitat. So much to see ~ we could have walked for miles!

There were just 11 large gulls on the Restharrow Scrape at Sandwich early evening but one of them was this rather nice 2CY Caspian Gull which eventually stopped snoozing & showed well ahead of heading off over the scrape & down towards Deal. Bonus bird!

Final visit to Ramsgate Harbour for the SBBO Thanet Wader Count where 32 Turnstone and 13 Purple Sandpiper were nice, between waders there was plenty more birds ebird.org/checklist/S2... #kentbirding #ukbirding @kentishplover.bsky.social
