The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana has requested $100,000 in emergency funding from Caddo Parish during the shutdown. At an administrative meeting, Commissioners upped the proposed allocation to $200,000, but they won't have a final vote on that until the end of the month.

Last night, I joined with the South Boston Citizens’ Association to celebrate together at their Evacuation Day Banquet.
It was a wonderful evening, full of friendship, laughter, and a strong sense of community.
