Für den Dungkäfer Coprimorphus scrutator lohnt es sich aktuell auch andernorts, die Augen offen zu halten. Die Ausbreitung der vergangenen Jahre setzt sich sicherlich noch fort.

Also I’ve been finding really cool beetles this week. Like this large and iridescent Fiery Searcher (Colisiona scrutator) and this very large and beautifully patterned Cottonwood Borer (Plectrodera scalator)

Oh here’s my pedalboard all set up now that I have actual pedalboards. All the deets are in the alt text
MISANDR’s triple chain pedalboard. Instruments go into the sansamp bass driver which sends a wet signal to a mixer and a dry signal to the very handsome peavey bass amp on the bottom which then also goes to the mixer. The double level module on the right has a chain on each level. The upper level distortion chain is in stereo with the bass big muff sending a dry signal into the tetanus booster next to it. The third chain goes from the left rainbow machine->ring modulator->scrutator bit/sample rate crusher->shortwave lofi radio distortion->metalzone->dl4 delay pedal.

Cool find from last night's blacklighting session: this caterpillar hunter beetle, genus Calosoma. A very cool, metallic colored predatory ground beetle. This individual is probably C. wilcoxi or C. scrutator.
