At SFGH for a candlelight vigil and memorial for Alberto Rangel, the social worker who was killed this week. This was predictable and preventable. It was a failure of systems and could have been any of the thousands of committed workers across DPH. We are all heartbroken.

I just logged on to Bluesky to leave the same comment, but couldn't find an account for SFGH. I'm a retired employee. Zuckerberg has shown he doesn't represent any of the values our hospital does. SFGH needs to drop his name from their title immediately.

My first shift in the ED at SFGH was on a night shift on the 4th of July, and I had two “drive and firework” patients, both with explosion injuries to their hands - one with the majority of his fingers missing and one with the majority of his palmar skin blown off.
