Story of seasons a wonderful life is such a strange remake I can't think of any other remake that CUTS a bunch of content and REMOVES quality of life features as SoSAWL does playing through it is really making me want a decomp/recomp that takes all the best features&content from every version of the

Happy 30th Anniversary to the series that best defined cozy games for me! 💗 Since we are all getting old, I wanted to draw Jill turning gray and sentimental over a few of her favorite memories.

@marvelouseurope.bsky.social @marveloususa.bsky.social #storyofseasons #sos #sosawl #harvestmoon #hmds

ID: 2 drawings! Everything about them is the same, except the subject, Jill/Pony from HM/SoS, is depicted differently. In the left image, she is young, wearing her default attire, and has her eyes open, staring at a corkboard full of memories ahead. In the second image on the right, she is old with graying hair and face wrinkles, and her eyes are closed as she smiles at the board. She has an orange, long-sleeved shirt on, with a pattern resembling one of the in-game blankets that goes on the bed. In both images, she has a cluster of forget-me-not flowers tucked behind one ear.

The scene is of the house in AWL, with some elements from DS Cute. The rug and curtains look like the pink room theme you can buy in-game from the telephone. There is a bed blurred in the back corner with Nami and the black cat sleeping. They are using a comforter that matches Nami's flannel shirt. At the front of the room where Jill is standing, there is a shelf with a yellow and pink lamp, a mug of hot milk, a green book, and three plushies of the following: a goat, a sheep, and a pink cow. There is a planter of forget-me-not flowers on the upper right-hand corner. On the corkboard, there are a few blurry pictures of scenes around the village, such as the waterfall, some chickens, nature scenes, and a blurry family pic. 4 photos are a bit clearer to see, and they include: one of Nina, one of both HMDS protagonists, one of Nami and Jill on their wedding day, and one of Takakura holding Nami's son. The whole scene is set in a dim, pinkish, dreamy light. The main light source is the yellow and pink lamp on the shelf.

Something more current for today: the birthday present I made for my wife this past spring.

In the winter I finally went ahead and bought the #StoryofSeasons A Wonderful Life remake and it's been so special to share this foundational game from my childhood with my spouse and be gay farmers!

I wanted to draw some of Marlin's old sprites from DS Cute with the SoS: AWL design with my own little twist 🥹
I've always liked his original design but I can never do curly hair justice so I'll settle for an in-between L M A O
