I hid her away for a while, but this wonderful community has convinced me that she doesn't need to be hidden. 🤍 She hasn't changed *too* much over the years.

I was trying to find an example, but I don't think any have survived. I have some pen and paper versions from 06 and 07 though.
Brushfeather's "Ssyra" in black and blue line work. She's a long eared winged somewhat canid creature with eyes closed, body suspended, tiny blue magic symbols swirling around her. Another pen drawing of Ssyra in a digitigrade anthro form this time, still with long ears and canine features, wings replaced with stylized dragonfly-like doodles. Ssyra in the example is a primarily white character. (As an afterthought, maybe I should have picked someone with more color! ) She is previewed with a variegated rainbow thread outline, an option I have available amongst others.

Pinellas voted to retain “Out of the Blue” last night.

This was the second time the SSYRA recognized book has gone through a committee review that resulted in retention. The first was in Sarasota last year.

The unanimous decision to retain rejected the objector’s inflammatory accusations.

Clementine is on the SSYRA list this year which RULES because: kids gets a dog tag for each book they read, which means Clementine is probably getting a dog tag, which means I can die happy.
