Monbiot has been sound on both Putin and previously on Syria and on Chomsky’s evasions so whilst you would expect the former STWuk bigwig and all round middle class crank to be wrong on this, I am not surprised he’s correct
I think Monbiot? I hadn’t expected him to be pro-Putin but anti-arms spending , and he’s actually in favour (albeit with the usually lefty yadda-yadda that undercuts most of what he’s saying).
